In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
I based my magazine on 'Top of the Pops' which is aimed at young teenagers and mostly girls. I have stuck to this convention by using typical colours associated with girls, colours like pink and purple are a common theme throughout. Another convension I have stuck to is having one main image on the cover. During my research, most of the covers I looked at that were similar to my magazine had the main image in the middle and all the features in the magazine around the outside of it. I challenged this by having my main image to one side of the magazine and having the features along the other side. This is so it is alot easier for the purchaser to see what is inside before they buy the magazine.
